Overview

ICT is probably the fastest developing subject in our curriculum today by the very nature of IT.

(DFES -relatively high levels of ICT use were generally associated with higher attainment;
better quality ICT resources (and better use of the resources) was generally associated with higher school standards;
using ICT in class generally helps to motivate pupils to learn)

Our students are being taught to be independent learners and take responsibility for their own work which is presented as an e-portfolio from as early as Year 7.
Bridgewater has excellent ICT resources including a fully functional network with a developing VLE and up to date peripherals (including cameras, camcorders, scanners, printers and interactive smart boards). Software includes MS Office, Matchware Openmind, Screencorder and Mediator, Adobe CS3 suite including Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
Of course other faculties and curriculum areas have even more specific software.
