Welcome to the
Sociology faculty pages of Bridgewater High School
Sociology can be defined as 'the science of society'. The
subject studies the world in which we live and tries to understand why
people think and behave in the ways that they do. It looks at the
relationships between individuals and groups. The subject also tries to
predict the likely behaviour of people in particular circumstances.
From September 2008 the specification for AS changes and will no longer
include coursework. The A2 specification will change in Sept 2009.
Detailed lesson plans for AS are available on the VLE. The lesson plans
for A2 are available through a link to the work files and will be
updated with the new specification in 2009.
